Cheek “Drop” at KUHT 2001

Cheek performs “Drop” at KUHT circa 2001 . Cheek was the only band I recorded that was censored. I was told as the time that they were too heavy and that our primary audience was little old ladies. And in addition to ‘metal’, no hip hop either by the way. My response was “Charlie Watts is almost 70 years old. Who exactly are you protecting here?”

Cheek is Jay Maulsby vox + guitar, Brett Needham vox + guitar Chris McFarland bass, and Steve Bundrick drums. Brett and Steve’s current projects include The Dead Links

More Cheek: “Drop”, “Sew Shut”, “Crooked Mile”, and “Catawampus (Cattiwampus)”
