Hilary Sloan “I Wish I Was a Highway” at KUHT 8-5-04

Hilary Sloan was on a huge COUNTRY kick at the time of this taping. Her vision of what was or was not country was the subject of long conversation. But listening to this tune, I hear modern twists in the fiddle playing and chord changes. So there you have it: she forges old style country in new ways. This is the third tune of the session, but the last of the four posted.

More from Hilary Sloan “Some Forgotten Sunday”, “I Know the Way to Heaven” and “The Darker Side of Life”
