Cheek “Catawampus (Cattiwampus)” at KUHT 2000

Cheek performs their song “Catawampus (Cattiwampus)” at the old KUHT studios circa 2000

Catawampus (Cattiwampus) was a common usage for Jay Maulsby’s grandfather, the legendary Houston western artist Mark Storm. Cheek was the only band I recorded that was censored and thus never aired.

Cheek is Jay Maulsby vox + guitar, Brett Needham vox + guitar Chris McFarland bass, and Steve Bundrick drums. Brett and Steve’s current projects include The Dead Links

More Cheek: “Drop”, “Sew Shut”, “Crooked Mile”, and “Catawampus (Cattiwampus)”
