The USFL mic’d 16 players per team, the XFL 2.0 mic’d 4 players per team and the NFL mic’s two players per team. The NFL doesn’t discuss the techniques. The other leagues have depended on Q5X Player Mics that are flexible rubberized transmitters developed for the NBA. They are effective, durable, and safe. A four person crew placed over 1200 mics during the season.
