- Citizen Doug was the third owner of Digidesign’s Sound Tools in Houston, TX. Bought Peak at that time and it became Pro Tools within the year.
- Douglas Robertson has owned and/or operated every version of Pro Tools
- Citizen Doug Productions owns and operates both PC and Mac versions.
- Has Stereo and 5.1 monitoring solutions.
- Uses Pro Tools for on set playback for music videos.
Bonus: Designed and installed the Pro Tools Audio suite at KUHT on which I won two Lonestar Emmys.
I often refer to Pro Tools as a life skill when speaking with students. It remains the Rosetta Stone of post audio for it’s exchange standards. It is the longest running Digital Audio Workstation. There are other impressive solutions that people swear by, but after many decades, it’s still my go-to.
