In June of 2018, Julye Newlin Productions hired Citizen Doug to provide location sound mixing for two days. We met Rebecca Carpenter, storied director of “Requiem For a Running Back” at her college friend’s house in the third ward. Constance Adams had asked Rebecca to film her final statements on an adventurous life. Constance was an architect for NASA and was responsible for significant orbital human spaces for the International Space Station and many other projects. Four days after the interviews, Constance died of cancer.
The resulting film was tabled during Covid, but Rebecca honored her friend’s request and finished “The Space Architect”, a remarkable 40 minute documentary. An ongoing premiere festival is touring “The Space Architect” worldwide, the Architecture & Design Film Festival
